Savannah CASAEvery child should have a safe, loving and permanent home, but unfortunately many do not. Each year in Chatham County, hundreds of abused or neglected children become entangled in an overburdened foster care system. The lives and well-being of children are hanging in the balance. Every child who cannot live safely at home should have a CASA volunteer who will help ensure their safe passage out of foster care, to the benefit of their children, and generations to come. The Savannah/Chatham County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) program provides an innovative, cost-effective solution to this urgent crisis, but we need your help. CASA recruits and trains volunteers from everyday walks of life to provide individual advocacy for innocent children who might otherwise become "lost" in the system. CASA is central to fulfilling society's most fundamental obligation by making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child's right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect and to learn and grow in the safe embrace of a loving family. You can lift up a child's voice. A child's life. Learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer by visiting our website at www.savannahcasa.org.
